What was Hope08?

Hope 08 was a nationwide initiative to get churches mobilised to work together, to reach their villages, towns and cities for Jesus. It was a whole year of getting involved in the needs of our communities, showing God's love in practical ways through acts of kindness, and introducing people to the idea that Jesus is alive today.
The motto was 'do more, do it together, and do it in word and action'.

The idea was to get us Christians out of our churches and start the ball rolling for something that would continue on further than just 2008. Hope in St Albans deliberately never had an '08' in the name so that we could carry on our work long into the future. Many of our projects will continue, and hopefully there'll be some new projects too!
